Our Story.

Our Legacy.

About Us.

The Colac Central Bowling Club celebrated its remarkable Centenary in 2021, marking 100 years since its founding at the historic Memorial Square on September 28, 1921. In its early days, from 1922 to 1926, the Club competed in the Warrnambool District Bowling Association, proudly securing the "B" Grade Pennant in the 1925/26 season.

By the late 1980s, growth was on the horizon, but expansion at the Square was no longer possible. Thanks to Council support, the Club found a new home at Wilson Street, where on February 20, 1994, Cr Jim Ryan officially unveiled our new Clubhouse and green—a new chapter in the Club's story.

In 2002, we added a second green, and by 2013, we upgraded further with lighting for the main green and a state-of-the-art carpet surface, enhancing our playability and setting the stage for future success.

In 2024, our identity evolved slightly, with the logo updated to Central Bowls Club Colac. Yet, at our core, we remain a volunteer-driven community, with dedicated members overseeing everything from green maintenance to function catering and bar services.

We're more than just a club—we're a passionate community, deeply proud of our rich history and the vibrant atmosphere we've built together.
